What was coming to be this hard hitting heavy band Abacorn started in the spring of 2002, when Claes and Franks band "Permanent Wave" (a prog hard rock band) was put on ice. Claes didn´t just want to lay down and die, so he had to find new "brothers" to play with that shared the same ideas. Then, Mike came into the picture, a working companion to Claes with the same visions, and they started to jam in Mikes old band "Gods Sideburns" rehersal room, but two guitarists without a drummer, no bass and no singer, thats not what you call a band. So after months of searching they got at tip from a friend who knew a drummer in a band called "Apple Brown Betty", that had split up. His name was Johan and he was curious of these shitkickers, so he jumped on his motorcycle to go see them jam. Sure, he felt that those dudes had something going on with their ideas and potential, so now another shitkicker was in. After many discussions over the phone, Claes finally got Frank, his old band mate and long time friend to jump on the train. At last a bass player they were searching for and the magic started to happen. In the spring of 2003, lead singer Miche was connected and Abacorn was finally complete. He came from a band called "Red Rain", but both Miche and the rest of the hood wanted to play harder and with more fierceness. In November, Abacorn entered RFM studios to record the songs "Bad drug" and "Big sleep" with producer Fredrik Hult and sound engineer Ola Sonmark and in April 2004 they recorded four new songs with the same crew. In December of 2004, Abacorn performed their first live show at the pub "Glada Ankan" in Karlstad, their songs worked great live, and the audience went home with a smile on their faces. 2005 and as the cold winter was blowing white powder shit on the streets, Abacorn hit the studio again, this time at Soundtech studios, but with the same crew as before. Three more songs were recorded and they were called "Numb", "Wasting time" and "Suicide note". October 2005, and the next place to get rumbled, was "Blue Moon Bar" in Karlstad and hey man, the audience went nuts and screamed for more. The arranging posse "Hellbilly" were really happy and satisfied with Abacorn and their songs of body and soul made for their fans - not reviewers out for, or out of control. / See all you abacorners on the road...
